Amiri celebrates first Japanese flagship
Los Angeles-based luxury label Amiri, particularly well-known for outfitting celebrities in its distressed denim jeans, has opened the doors to its first-ever Japanese flagship boutique in Tokyo’s Minami-Aoyama neighbourhood.

The two-story space is home to the full spectrum of men’s, womenswear, footwear and leathergoods collections, alongside a limited-edition t-shirt, hoodie and sweatpants capsule exclusive to the store. Work by contemporary American artist Wes Lang, a brand collaborator, adorns the walls.

Local personalities including Gordon Maeda, Ayaka Miyoshi, Ryosuke Kobayashi and Wilywnka all attended a party at the boutique in celebration of its opening.

Founded by Iranian American designer Mike Amiri in 2014, the brand opened its first store along Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in 2020, followed by footprints in Las Vegas, New York and Miami last year.

Fashion group OTB, the owner of Diesel and others, took a minority stake in Amiri in 2019.
