The pair have been working together for five years but this agreement will “augment the benefits of both organisations” to brands and their suppliers.
Oeko-Tex will promote ZDHC products and platforms (the ZDHC Gateway, InCheck, ClearStream) and wastewater testing for Oek-Tex STeP will directly translate into a ZDHC ClearStream.
The organisations will establish data sharing processes. This collaboration will strengthen data quality, making performance and impact evaluation more credible, it said.
Georg Dieners, Oeko-Tex general secretary, said: “The objective of the partnership is to share learning and experience, driving sustainability by eliminating harmful chemicals throughout the supply chain and lowering the apparel, footwear, and textile industry’s impact.”
Separately, Italian family run denim mill Berto has achieved the Supplier to Zero Foundational Level Certificate in the Roadmap to Zero Programme.
