Lycra x Advance Denim tech forms core of Jack & Jones China range

The Lycra Company has collaborated with Bestseller-owned denim brand Jack & Jones on a summer 2021 collection specifically made for the Chinese menswear market.
In addition to its proprietary stretchy Lycra fibre, the Shandong Ruyi-controlled fibre manufacturer contributed several of its Coolmax-branded moisture-wicking technologies, the combination of which together allow for a “cool, comfortable fit,” it said.
Alongside Lycra and Coolmax fibres, the collection therefore also features Coolmax FreshFX (which contains active silver ions, directly spun into the yarn), plus Coolmax Natural Touch for its “natural look and soft feel”, achieved by way of composite cotton staple fibres.
The fabrics used in the collection took shape as a result of a joint research and development effort on the part of The Lycra Company and Guangdong-based Advance Denim following the autumn-winter 2020 Intertextile Shanghai apparel fabric show. Lycra’s partnering with Jack & Jones represents the first time this co-created technology has reached consumers, the former stated.
Marketing manager for ready-to-wear, legwear and seamless at The Lycra Company, Amy Yi, commented: “Innovation is the key to our business. This means not only that technology innovation matters, but also innovative marketing programmes are critical to bring each technological breakthrough to the consumers.”
The range is current available both online and in Jack & Jones, China, stores nationwide.
