Micro collection helps Hiut handle its ‘waste’
Cardigan, Wales-based jeansmaker and brand Hiut has released its most “low impact” denim yet, a micro collection of jeans, each pair unique, crafted from leftover fabrics gathered over the course of the past 15 months.

Two men’s and two women’s fits have been created from these “one of one” designs and each panel has been cut from a different “waste” fabric from the firm's own past collections.

Hiut, which was formed in 2011 after the closure of a local jeans factory that had formerly produced 35,000 pairs per week, said that the collection had been made with the planet in mind: “our silent shareholder”.
