The Vintage Showroom offers short-run Orta denims

London-based menswear archive The Vintage Showroom has revealed that its new Clerkenwell outpost, which opened in January, will be handling small order runs on fabrics it has helped develop through consulting for Turkish denim mill Orta Anadolu.
Dating from “the last few seasons”, the denims encompass premium hemp blends, recycled cotton and fabrics dyed with natural indigo, the business said. It ultimately hopes its Central London space, located in the borough of Islington, will function as something of a hub for fashion designers and students alike.
The company added that it was “excited” to make the announcement, knowing how much this “unique opportunity” could potentially help local creatives in their work, by removing barriers to entry such as otherwise prohibitive order minimums.
It also noted that the Orta fabrics all offer “full transparency” and have previously undergone life-cycle assessment. The denims can be viewed by appointment in a room dedicated to vintage jeanswear.
