Isko puts on a show in London

Denim producer Isko, based in Turkey, officially marked the opening of its Creative Room concept in London with an event involving trend talks delivered by specialists from the Italian product development hub, plus live laser customisation of Isko denim bags using on-site Jeanologia technology.
Designers, educators, creative consultants and journalists were all in attendance, in celebration of the pioneering facility which quietly commenced operation in the British capital around 18 months ago, during a time of enforced restrictions in the UK due to covid-19. Welsh brand Hiut launched jeans washed at Creative Room London last September.
“Our aim is to collaborate with customers across the spectrum from end to end, offering tailor-made approaches and curating long-lasting partnerships,” commented director of Isko’s Creative Room Services division, Ertugrul Konukoglu. “We are delighted to officially launch and open up this space to both existing and prospective customers, as well as the global denim community as a whole.”
As well as the aforementioned laser marking machine, well-used during the opening, the manufacturer's latest creative hub features a Jeanologia H2Zero Lab system, capable of reusing water "for weeks" thanks to its closed-loop washing finishing process. This is in addition to e-Flow technology, also made by Isko partner Jeanologia, designed to reduce water and eliminate discharge during finishing. A large workbench, covered with denim customisation options for the launch event, takes centre stage in the middle of the open-plan, minimalist facility, while dedicated office and showroom areas occupy the upper floor.
Streamlined, simplified and sustainable solutions - from fabric to finished garment - are all key words which apply to this latest Creative Room, intended to function as an “open door” nucleus for knowledge exchange and idea realisation targeted at local creatives and denim aficionados.
The first of its kind in the UK, a German hub is set to follow in the coming months.
