The final rolls of UK-made selvedge – potentially the last denim ever woven on the Blackburn Northrop Shuttle looms – are for sale at greatly reduced prices.

Chris Hewitt from Hewitt Denim worked hard to establish a weaving operation in the embers of the British textile sector, securing use of the looms once used to weave deckchair material (see Inside Denim’s feature for more on the process).

The last rolls are now for sale, in 100% cotton, or 13oz 50% cotton / 50% French linen and 10oz 50% cotton / 50% linen.

Brands that have used this rare selvedge include Hiut Denim, Joe & Co Denim and United Overalls.
