Candiani predicts the return of bootcut in trends forecast
Denim mill Candiani has published a trends report, that says wide-leg jeans will continue to be popular this year, but made with softer, more forgiving fabrics that drape beautifully.
It said: “Ranging from gracefully flowing palazzo styles to more structured tailored fits, they cater to diverse preferences. Baggy jeans also remain a key player, offering a relaxed, 90s-inspired aesthetic that prioritizes comfort without sacrificing style.
Meanwhile, barrel-leg jeans have dominated recent fashion shows and street styles, positioning themselves as a key trend for 2025 while the omni-flattering straight leg styles should not be overlooked.
“Finally, bootcut jeans are definitely worth discussing! Kendrick Lamar showcased them during the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show, sparking renewed enthusiasm for this Y2K-inspired style,” it added. “Given their resurgence in popularity, it’s likely that bootcut jeans will trend prominently in the upcoming seasons.”
