Candiani publishes sustainability report

06/08/2025

Alberto Candiani has said while other companies might have abandoned investments in sustainable materials in favour of cheaper alternatives, the Italian mill has remained committed to sustainable innovation and continuous improvement.

He said: “We believe true value lies not just in creating denim that is beautiful or high-performing, but in producing fabrics that are cleaner, eco-compatible and respectful of our planet. This conviction drives every decision we make and every product we develop.”

In the mill’s newly published sustainability report, he mentioned its new natural indigo has been warmly received, as well as K-NEW, a revolutionary indigo dyed using chitosan and ultrasound technology.

During 2024, 30% of the cotton Candiani used was from regenerative practices, moving towards 40% this year.

The full reports is available on Candiani’s website.
