Denim done good: Kingpins x Lee Indigood podcast

A new podcast from Kingpins and Lee, Indigood, celebrates the good in denim, exploring sustainability “from the cotton field to the consumer”.

Hosted by senior director of global sustainable business of Kontoor Brands (owner of denim brands Lee, Wrangler and Rock & Republic), Roian Atwood, the podcast has so far explored sustainability challenges in the denim supply chain with Kingpins founder Andrew Olah, plus the topic of indigo (“what makes denim, denim”).

Other subjects to be discussed in upcoming episodes include denim’s use of water and the hot topic of circularity, Mr Atwood noted while speaking during Kingpins24 Flash recently.

“We wanted to tell the story about all the positive activity in the industry; we want to celebrate the sustainable innovations, whether they are incremental and slow or disruptive and large - we wanted to highlight their positive impact on the planet. It’s a celebration of a lot of people’s success stories,” the host elaborated at Kingpins.

Mr Atwood further highlighted the “unique” closeness of the denim industry, which, he said, makes collaboration possible. “Things are changing, and everyone is positive about the future,” he continued.

New Indigood podcast episodes drop every three weeks.
