The collection includes hemp as an alternative to cotton, as it needs less water, no pesticides and grows quickly in almost any type of soil. New spinning techniques give the fibre a softer hand feel.
The Turkish group has updated its Isko Black offerings, and Isko EFD, or Eco For Dye, produces an ecru-coloured base that can be used as for a natural look or can be dyed any colour.
Summer Colours is inspired by natural earth tones, workwear looks or bright colours with authentic, open-end denim constructions. Catwalk is a bold and bright addition to the collection that styles in finishes including Urban Leather, Pearl Coat and Flashy Finish.
The five trends influencing the collection:
• Denim Nation embraces different fits that evolve every year, from super stretch to slim and regular to wider silhouettes.
• New Origin Denim includes fabrics that offer the structure, features, colours and characteristics reminiscent of the ‘good old days of denim’ with a modern twist. It also provides space for recycled and alternative fibre fabrics inspired by heritage and craft constructions.
• Isko Motion is a young theme inspired by the new generation who are always on the move and need to have jeans made with a fabric that works for them throughout the day. The fabrics adapt easily to garment cuts, details and with movement-friendly details and fresh washes.
• Isko Reborn Denim is inspired by the 80s, 90s and 2000s, still a big influence in the market. Rigid stonewash looks meet a grunge-look fabric with contemporary twists, such as twists on patterns and double waistbands.
• Chill Zone is inspired by the need to be comfortable in jeans. It strikes a balance between sporty and functional details for the consumer who prioritises comfort.
