The one step solution makes it possible, the company said, to place a raw garment in the machine and have a garment with a basic vintage effect come out ready to be dried, already treated, bleached and softened.
Mr Venier mentions the possibility of combining its Novascraper Indigo, or Remover IND/J-N, a potassium permanganate replacement, with its Oz-One Powder or Aqualess Aged waterless enzymes, followed by its nebulisation auxiliary to soften the products. The result is that in a single go, requiring just a few rinse cycles in between, a finished and treated product is obtained. “We work closely with machine manufacturers to develop products adapted to the evolution of technology and to improve or optimise their potential,” he said.
In a partnership with indigo supplier BluConnection and denim mill Naveena, showcased at Kingpins (photo), Officina39’s solutions reduced water usage by 75%, the company said. In combination with BluConnection’s DenimBlu30 and BluWit, a new plant-based reducing agent that eliminates the need of hydrosulfite in the dyeing processes, Aqualess Mission is said to be even more effective as it is easier to neutralise the garment, which optimises time and consumption (both reduced by 50% compared to a classic neutralisation) while maintaining an authentic denim aesthetic, the company said.
