AGI’s biomass plant boosts GHG goals

Pakistan-based denim mill and manufacturer AGI has opened a biomass plant, which will help towards its goal of cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030.
The biomass boilers have been added to one of its most natural gas-intensive units, and will eliminate 10,000 tons of CO2 annually and reduce natural gas consumption in the unit by 40%, it said.
AGI said: “We are on a steadfast path toward a cleaner future by reducing our carbon footprint and reinforcing our commitment to Sustainable Development Goals 7, 11, 12 and 13.”
